We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse who wants to work with palliative care and make a real difference for patients and their loved ones at the end of life. With us, you will be part of a competent and caring team where the patient's needs and dignity are always at the center.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. It is an advantage if you have a specialist education, preferably with a focus on palliative care, as well as other relevant training in the field.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills. You are stable and possess an empathetic ability, which is reflected in your interactions with both patients and colleagues.


This is what you will work with

In the palliative advisory team, you will provide advice and support to staff responsible for patients with palliative care needs. The team does not take over treatment responsibility but acts as a consultative support to the responsible caregiver. This may involve assessment, symptom relief, medication, or ethical considerations. Advice and support are also provided directly to patients and their loved ones.
The work may also involve home visits to patients in the areas of Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. You will also participate in the development of palliative care in the region through training, supervision, and competency-enhancing efforts.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, and other professionals, where the focus is on safety and high quality for patients. The team covers the catchment area of Kiruna and Gällivare hospitals, with Gällivare hospital as the base.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement, working hours are scheduled Monday - Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
